Abigail L. Meyer is a member of the firm’s Tax and Estate Planning group.

She advises high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners on sophisticated estate planning, estate and trust administration, federal and state estate tax issues, charitable planning techniques and business succession planning.

Abigail’s practice encompasses tailored comprehensive planning, from preparing wills and trusts to implementing sophisticated wealth transfer strategies that minimize gift, estate and generation-skipping transfer taxes. She also guides families through all aspects of estate and trust administration, from probate and tax filings to post-mortem planning and dispute resolution.

Before joining the firm, Abigail worked at a national public accounting firm where she represented clients in IRS examinations and guided them through IRS dispute resolution alternatives. This experience has strengthened her ability to anticipate and navigate federal tax challenges for clients.

  • Counseling families with respect to estate planning designed to provide for surviving spouse and children while minimizing federal and state estate taxes.
  • Drafting irrevocable trusts and implementing advanced planning techniques to help families achieve gift and generation skipping transfer tax savings.
  • Organization and development of private foundations including compliance with complex reporting requirements.
  • Preparation of federal gift, estate and generation skipping transfer and fiduciary income tax returns.
  • Consulting individuals regarding new business ventures with respect to choice of entity and entity formation.
  • Representation of fiduciaries in probate administration of complex estates.
