Barbara Powers has been a member of the Vedder team as a real estate paralegal since 2011. Barb is a seasoned paralegal with a career spanning over 40 years. Barb has consistently demonstrated exceptional skills in assisting attorneys with acquisitions, dispositions and finance transactions.
Barb has extensive experience reviewing purchase/sale contracts, preparation of closing checklists for transactions, ordering UCC, tax, judgment lien searches and review/summarize of search results, reviewing title reports/commitments, surveys and underlying title documents and finalizing title clearance for closing, ordering third party due diligence reports, preparation of purchase/sale closing documents and related transfer documents, closing escrow instructions and UCC financing statements, and generally assisting with all phases of acquisition and finance transactions.
