Elisa Cardano Pérez is a member of the firm’s Investment Services group.
She represents U.S.-registered investment companies and their boards of directors with respect to mutual fund, exchange-traded fund (ETF) and closed-end fund regulatory compliance and governance matters under U.S. securities laws. Elisa provides strategic counsel on fund formation and registration, transactions, and operations and compliance, helping clients meet their regulatory obligations while achieving their business goals.
In her pro bono practice, Elisa assists members of Afghanistan’s former all-female special operations unit with asylum claims and represents clients on U-visa petitions. Elisa is fluent in Spanish and Italian and proficient in Portuguese, allowing her to effectively serve a diverse, international client base.
