Ms. Occhiogrosso assists clients in resolving commercial litigation, bankruptcy litigation, creditors’ rights and foreclosure matters, with a focus on the banking, finance and transportation industries.
A seasoned litigator, Ms. Occhiogrosso has experience advocating on behalf of her clients both in court and in administrative hearings before governmental and regulatory agencies. She has counseled clients throughout every stage of the litigation and arbitration process in a wide variety of commercial disputes, including pre-trial discovery, motion practice, drafting appellate briefs, and settlement negotiations. She also represents lenders in foreclosure proceedings to protect their interests in collateral and to help obtain any deficiency judgments.
Ms Occhiogrosso has particular experience assisting financial institutions and investors that specialize in taxi medallion lending and financing. As a former attorney for the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission, she has extensive knowledge of the business and regulatory compliance concerns faced by medallion owners, lenders and financers. She regularly assists medallion lenders with purchases, sales, and transfers, as well as with drafting loan modification and settlement agreements, and commencing collection actions, foreclosure proceedings and related litigation.
Ms. Occhiogrosso received her law degree from the Pace University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from St. John’s University.
