John Rix is the supervisor of the firm’s Intellectual Property Docket Department, overseeing the management and tracking of the firm’s US and foreign IP prosecution deadlines. John and his team ensure the accuracy and timeliness of these deadlines to secure the obtention and maintenance of client patent, trademark, and copyright portfolios.
He manages the hiring and training of IP Docket staff and oversees the intake of new clients’ docketing records. He corresponds with the vendor of the firm’s IP Docketing software to develop and improve processes and works closely with the IP legal staff to maintain and develop the policies and procedures of the department.
