Lane R. Moyer

Lane Moyer serves as outside general counsel to entrepreneurs and family-owned businesses across the Midwest, with a particular focus on manufacturing, distribution, services and food production companies.

With over 35 years of legal and business experience, he brings a unique perspective to complex legal problems. Lane works extensively in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financing transactions, commercial lending and general business matters and has negotiated winning results for his clients in transactions ranging from $5 million to $250 million.

Beyond M&A, Lane solves legal problems across corporate, labor and litigation matters. His business background enables him to deliver practical, commercially focused solutions that align with his clients' long-term objectives.

Lane serves on the boards of several private companies, including numerous chairman roles, providing unique insight into boardroom dynamics and how to get things accomplished in a corporate setting.

• Assisted a client in purchasing 30 professional service businesses, successfully implementing an IPO for the client and ultimately selling the business to a public insurance company.
• Sold a $200 million food production business on behalf of a client to a private equity buyer.
• Sold an industrial chemical company on behalf of a client to an international buyer for $50 million.
• Purchased an aviation security company on behalf of a private equity fund for $80 million.
• Sold a data analytics software company to a private equity buyer for $240 million.
