Lorraine has been a member of the Global Transportation Finance Group at Vedder for over 20 years. She has experience with all types of global transportation finance transactions including rail, maritime and aviation transactions both domestic and international.
She typically prepares closing checklists and monitors receipt of condition precedent documents and drafts relevant UCC-1 Financing Statements. She has particular expertise in International Registry matters such as entering all types of registrations, assignments, subordinations and discharges and obtaining searches on the International Registry as well as in obtaining CUSIP Numbers and Private Placement numbers for debt instruments. Lorraine also has experience coordinating the registration of Aircraft with the US Federal Aviation Administration and the registration of vessels with various ship registry offices around the world.
