Peyton Demith is a member of Vedder’s Labor & Employment group, representing and advising employers across industries on labor and employment matters.
He guides clients through collective bargaining negotiations, contract administration, union organizing campaigns, grievance arbitration, and proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board and Illinois Labor Relations Board.
Peyton also advises on workplace policies, labor compliance, and employment issues arising from corporate transactions. He helps employers navigate federal laws, including OSHA, FMLA, ADA, and FLSA, as well as Illinois-specific regulations, including the Paid Leave for All Workers Act, the Cook County Paid Leave Ordinance, and Chicago’s Paid Sick and Safe Leave Ordinance.
