Sam is a member of the firm’s Litigation practice. He represents businesses, individuals and public entities in complex litigation involving commercial and contract disputes, securities and common law fraud, fiduciary matters, real estate, government investigations and white-collar defense. He also handles cases involving consumer protection, trade secrets and non-compete agreements.

Sam has experience with all phases of litigation, from pleadings, discovery and depositions to dispositive motions and trial. He has secured summary judgments and settlements in high-stakes matters, including for a large group of homeowners regarding easements for permanent home access, a plaintiff in a federal securities fraud case on the eve of closing arguments at trial, a trucking company regarding deceptive trade practices and consumer protection claims, a utility company against an end-user regarding utility usage monitoring software, a telecommunications infrastructure business regarding Employee Retention Credit, a dentist against a dental support organization regarding affiliate termination, and an individual landowner regarding riparian rights.

Before entering private practice, Sam served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Susan Richard Nelson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota and as a law intern for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Minnesota.
