Sophia joined the Finance and Transactions practice of Vedder in its New York office as a paralegal in March 2019.

She is a committed paralegal with extensive experience focusing in Structured Finance. With a 30 year career in the legal field, Sophia has worked as a paralegal in an individual capacity and teamwork structure in the following areas: Banking and Finance, Aircraft Finance (sale and leaseback). Maritime Acquisitions, Equipment Financing and Leasing and Real Estate (low income housing).

Sophia started her career as a paralegal in corporate services through formation and maintenance of corporate filings / records in international law firms and is now an asset in pre-closing, closing and post-closing responsibilities of corporate transactions at Vedder. Her transactional experience allows her to navigate through preparation of basic corporate transactional documents, merger documents, signature pages and checklists. Sophia is experienced in UCC lien search review and preparation and filing of UCC Statements. Additionally, Sophia is an integral part of the accounting law team. She is used as a vital part of the team to assist attorneys in forming professional corporations, obtaining EINs, preparing and filing tax documents and registering accounting firms with the states Board of Accountancy.

Sophia brings to her position the benefit of providing legal assistance in working closely with attorneys, clients, service companies, Department of States, IRS and Accounting Boards.
