Vikki Madias is a Foreign Lawyer licensed in Greece and working as a paralegal in the Miami office.

Vikki brings with her over 20 years of experience in the maritime finance sector from her work at law firms in both Athens, Greece and New York.  Before joining Vedder , Vikki worked for a New York City law firm in the maritime finance department for 11 years, assisting with a variety of cross-border ship and vessel finance transactions and was particularly involved with the preparation of legal opinions in relation to non-resident Liberian and Marshall Islands entities and the enforceability of mortgage documentation for US, Liberian, Marshall Islands and Vanuatu flagged vessels. 

Vikki also worked as a Greek lawyer in Athens, Greece for both an international law firm and a Greek law firm, representing a multitude of lenders, financial institutions, and borrowers in the ship finance sector from 2000 to 2013.  During this time, she handled numerous finance closings representing both banks and shipowners throughout the world.  Since joining Vedder in 2024, Vikki has been involved with many ship finance and acquisition transactions, including experience with vessel transfers, registrations and mortgage recordations with the U.S. Coast Guard.  Vikki is admitted in the Piraeus Bar Association and is fluent in Greek.
