Gavin N. Hill

Gavin’s practice extends to the financing, leasing and acquisition/sale of hundreds of aircraft and engines around the world.

He is able to advise in the context of all types of secured and unsecured loan and lease financing, capital markets transactions, operating and finance leases, acquisitions and sales, and most other types of arrangements involving commercial aircraft, business aircraft and aircraft engines.

Gavin is recognized as a leading aviation/asset finance practitioner in the legal directories, including Chambers UK: Asset Finance, where he is ranked “Band 3" tier in 2024, "Band 2" for 2025, and as a "Senior Statesperson" in 2026, as well as Chambers Global: Asset Finance, “Leading Individual”- UK Legal 500: Transport Finance and Leasing, Legal Business – Legal Experts and Who’s Who Legal: Aviation. Mr. Hill was recognized among the world’s leading aviation attorneys by Euromoney Legal Media Group Aviation Expert Guides from 2000 to 2021 and from 2020-2022 he was recognized in “The Best of the Best” Global Aviation Expert Guide. From 2009-2024 he was recognized by Best Lawyers United Kingdom edition in the Asset Finance Law category. Gavin participates in a number of internal and external legal training activities, including events organized by the Irish Law Society (Diploma in Aviation Leasing and Finance) and the European Air Law Association; and he supports the educational and training requirements of clients.
