Rachel Easton advises employers across a wide range of sectors on complex workforce and compliance challenges. She partners with clients to deliver clear, commercially focused solutions to their operational and strategic goals.
Rachel has considerable experience co-ordinating large, cross-border employment projects for UK- and US-headquartered companies, reflecting the strong international focus of her practice.
Rachel provides strategic and practical advice across a broad range of employment issues, including day-to-day HR matters (drafting employment documentation, advising on internal procedures, managing sensitive employee exits), advising on Employment Tribunal claims and navigating data privacy issues in the workplace. Rachel also works closely with the firm’s corporate team, advising on corporate restructurings, employee transfers and the employment aspects of transactions.
Beyond her client work, Rachel serves on the firm’s Pro Bono and WAVES (Women at Vedder Empowering Success) Committees.

Experience
- Guiding a global IT solutions provider specialising in augmented software teams, on various restructurings across Japan, Singapore and India. Serving as the company’s single point of contact across the world, coordinating advice from local counsel in these jurisdictions, ensuring seamless delivery of employment guidance tailored to each region’s unique legal and business landscape.
- Advised a premium European fashion outlet on a complex right-to-erasure request from a former employee, advising on the legal obligations under data protection laws, assessing the scope of the request and implementing the necessary steps to ensure compliance while protecting the organisation’s interests.
- Assisted Harvey Nash in its corporate acquisition of the Knoldus Group. Advising on every step of this corporate acquisition, from reviewing the data room, advising the client through the due diligence report on matters arising, inputs into the sale and purchase documentation, and coordinating advice from India and Canada. Following the acquisition, Rachel has continued to assist with various matters arising from integration.
- Representing a private equity fund on its acquisition of a leader in the Internet of Things (IoT) solutions space. Navigating complex employee transition arrangements, including compliance with TUPE regulations, and risk mitigation.
